What is Slip and Tack Solution?Updated 8 months ago

In the world of Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation, slip and tack solutions are essential for a seamless and effective application process. Here are easy-to-follow steps for preparing and using our slip and tack solutions.

Slip Solution:

The slip solution facilitates the positioning and adjustment of the film. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to prepare and use our slip solution:

  1. Prepare the Slip Bottle: Add the slip solution from the black packet into the bottle.

    • For small 2oz bottles, add one drop.
    • For larger bottles, add 5ml per 1000ml of water.
  2. Fill with Water: Fill the bottle with Distilled or Purified water to avoid mineral deposits from tap water.

  3. Gentle Swirl: Gently swirl the mixture to ensure proper blending. Your slip bottle is now ready for use. (Don't shake!)

Tack Solution:

Tack solution helps with adhesion during PPF installation, ensuring a secure bond between the film and the vehicle's surface. Follow these steps to prepare and use our tack solution:

  1. Prepare the Tack Bottle: Add Distilled or Purified water to the bottle.

  2. Optional Isopropyl Alcohol: For enhanced tackiness, optionally add a drop of 70% isopropyl alcohol to the bottle (not necessary for smaller bottles).

    • For every 800ml of water, add 200ml of alcohol. (Don't shake!)

Note: Not all PPF installations require tack solution. Refer to the installation video to determine if it's needed for your specific application.
